In addition, Healthyroads' certified wellness consultants support clients with successful implementation and maintenance of Healthyroads programs on an ongoing basis.

The Online Wellness Portal is included at no charge with Healthyroads core programs.

Stand-Alone Internet Tools are provided to clients that decide not to offer the Healthyroads Online Wellness Portal, but would prefer to offer a Healthyroads Health Risk Assessment (HRA) or Healthyroads Incentives on a stand-alone basis. Options include:

  • HealthyroadsHRA.com for a comprehensive HRA that provides decision-support knowledge to participants. In addition, aggregate information about the employee population is provided to clients. The HRA uses industry-standard questions and benchmark measurement criteria so that results can be compared to third-party information (e.g., CDC incidence and prevalence data).
  • HealthyroadsIncentives.com for our Incentives Fulfillment Option and Incentives Turnkey At-Risk Option. This stand-alone Web site provides a broad incentive data tracking and/or fulfillment tool. This incentives program offers the same broad-based capabilities as under our standard Incentive Fulfillment Option and Incentives Turnkey At-Risk Option (see "Healthyroads Incentives" below).

Healthyroads Lifestyle Coaching Programs provide members with ongoing support and coaching to make positive changes in their health. Coaching options include:

  • Telephone-Based Lifestyle Coaching, providing adults with one-on-one telephone-based lifestyle coaching for weight management, stress management, preventive health, tobacco cessation, healthy living, back pain, diabetes, metabolic syndrome/pre-diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Lifestyle Coaching also includes educational resources and an optional Get Started! Kit. Healthyroads also offers eXtremeFUN®, a lifestyle coaching program for kids and teens that focuses on supporting both parents and children in a unique child-focused coaching program.
  • Worksite Lifestyle Coaching (for health plans only), providing adults with one-on-one and group coaching at the worksite. Coaching is provided for weight management, stress management, preventive health, tobacco cessation, healthy living, back pain, diabetes, metabolic syndrome/pre-diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Worksite Lifestyle Coaching also includes educational resources, an optional Get Started! Kit, and the Healthyroads Online Wellness Portal.
  • Health Advisor, providing telephone outreach after participants complete a Healthyroads HRA or PHA. The participant may speak with a health advisor who will help him or her understand assessment results and review health improvement opportunities.

Healthyroads Incentives rewards members for engaging in physical activity, improving eating habits, completing a health risk assessment, participating in a biometric screening, completing preventive health check-ups, and developing healthy habits. Incentive program options include:

  • A Customized Incentive Design, providing incentive plan design, points tracker, and points display. Description of incentive program and requirements are provided for members.
  • Rewards and Fulfillment, providing the above as well as complete fulfillment of earned incentives/rewards. Fulfillment options include gift/reward cards, annual fitness club memberships, and merchandise through Healthyroads’ online store.
  • Turnkey At-Risk Option, giving Healthyroads responsibility for both administrative services and the costs of the actual incentive. Under this option, Healthyroads provides incentive plan design, points tracker, and points display and supplies participants with their earned incentive rewards, such as gift/reward cards, merchandise, and/or fitness club memberships.

Healthyroads Challenges motivate participants to engage in health improvement challenges and activities at the worksite. Challenges can focus on exercise, eating healthier food, watching one’s weight, and other healthy living habits. Competitive challenges track online competitions between individuals or groups via the Healthyroads Online Wellness Portal. Clients can choose from eight Healthyroads-sponsored challenges that offer attractive, pre-packaged challenges or choose from a limitless number of customized challenges that individuals create using the Healthyroads trackers. Program options include:

  • Challenges ToolKit Option, which includes the Competitive Challenges program described above. In addition, clients may select one of three kits that are made available to eligible members at the beginning of the challenge. They include an Exercise Kit with a pedometer and exercise cords; a Healthy Living Kit with a pedometer, Healthyroads cookbook, and stress card; and a Stress Relief Kit that includes an MP3 player preloaded with relaxation skills modules.
  • Challenges Wireless Option, which includes the Competitive Challenges Option described above. In addition, participants may request a wireless accelerometer (activity monitor) from Healthyroads. Employers may choose whether to provide individual USB antennas to employees who select a wireless accelerometer or to set up wireless transmitters in the worksite. These USB antennas and worksite wireless transmitters wirelessly collect activity data and download the data to Healthyroads.com. Participants track their activity and compete with others individually or as part of a group.

Healthyroads Worksite Wellness Programs enable clients to provide worksite programs to meet the needs of their employees in unique approaches. Options include:

  • Worksite Health Education classes on popular health topics to be held at the worksite throughout the year.
  • Worksite Biometric Screenings providing individual screenings at each of the client’s major locations. Finger-stick test results include glucose and lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides), blood pressure, and a weigh-in.

Health plans, disease management companies, and employers may combine any of the above to create a customized offering.
