American Specialty Health Names Dawn Garcia Associate Vice President of Health Plan Sales for Alternative Delivery Channels
SAN DIEGO (April 14, 2009) –
Leading health and wellness company American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) has named Dawn Garcia associate vice president of health plan sales. In this role, Garcia is responsible for developing and growing ASH and Healthyroads membership and revenue in alternative channel markets such as disease management, disability, employee assistance programs, and third-party administrators.
“It has never been more important to explore the oft-overlooked paths and avenues that lead to new clients and business,” said ASH’s chief sales officer Pamela Lauper. “Dawn’s knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset as we seek to expand our company programs in alternative channel markets.”
Prior to joining ASH in 2009, Garcia was regional vice president of national account sales at CareAllies (now CIGNA Health Solutions), a division of CIGNA HealthCare. Here, she executed sale goals for southwest and west national account territory regions; developed territory management sales plans to identify customer opportunities and consultant channel management; and developed customer-specific innovative solutions and managed contract negotiations.
Before her position at CareAllies, Garcia served as director of client services and customer satisfaction at CIGNA Arizona/Nevada. She was responsible for strategic planning of customer service excellence for the health plan and sales office. Garcia also had served as a customer service manager, a senior group benefit specialist, and an account executive at CIGNA.
Dawn received her Bachelor of Science degree in design with a business emphasis from Arizona State University.
