AMERICAN SPECIALTY HEALTH'S TONY MARTINEZ APPOINTED TO NFWL BOARD

SAN DIEGO, CA (Aug 7, 2001) -- Tony Martinez, vice president of Government Relations and Consumer Health Care Products legal counsel at American Specialty Health Inc., has been appointed to the National Foundation for Women Legislators' (NFWL) Board of Directors. His term began on June 1, 2001. Martinez is a renowned attorney and lobbyist in the field of health care law and policy. American Specialty Health is the nation's largest specialty health care provider for complementary health care services.

The NFWL is a national organization of elected women officials dedicated to the education and empowerment of women in office.
