American Specialty Health Achieves Full URAC Health Web Site Accreditation for ASHCompanies.com SAN DIEGO (April 27, 2005) - American Specialty Health (ASH), the nation’s leading organization for complementary health care benefit, health education, and wellness programs, recently announced that its corporate Web site, ASHCompanies.com, has been granted full accreditation for achieving the health Web site standards of URAC, the nation’s leading accreditation program for health care organizations.
ASH first achieved URAC Health Web Site Accreditation for its ASHCompanies.com site in 2002. At that time, ASH was one of the first organizations in the nation to receive this accreditation. ASH also received the same accreditation for its Healthyroads.com® Web site. Healthyroads.com® received full re-accreditation from URAC in 2004.
An updated version of ASHCompanies.com was launched in October of 2004. The new Web site incorporated all of the functionality of former ASH Web sites ASHPlans.com, ASHNetworks.com, and ASHProviders.com. With the integrated Web site, visitors can now search for corporate information about ASH or information specific to a targeted audience, including members, providers, brokers and consultants, health plans, and employers.
The original version of ASHCompanies.com debuted in April 2002.
