American Specialty Health Networks to Offer Discounts on Office Supplies and Homeopathic Products to Contracted Providers via ASHLink.com

SAN DIEGO (Dec. 9, 2005) - American Specialty Health Networks (ASH Networks), the nation's leading complementary health care organization, is pleased to announce the addition of two new vendors to their fast-growing Value-Added Program: Medical Arts Press, which specializes in office supplies and equipment for health care professionals; and Boiron, an international manufacturer and distributor of homeopathic medicine. For nearly two years, the Value Added Program has provided contracted providers significant discounts of up to 40 percent on professional malpractice insurance and other products and services ranging from online continuing education courses to accounting software.

“Our goal is to take a more active role in helping our providers lower costs and overhead,” said George DeVries, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of ASH Networks. “We are able to do this by creating alliances with companies that directly impact our providers' daily business practices.”

Medical Arts Press (MAP) ) is one of the nation's largest suppliers of office supplies and equipment for health care professionals. MAP offers more than 17,000 quality products ranging from filing and office supplies to billing and insurance books and marketing materials to furniture. Today, more than 250,000 healthcare professionals across the nation have come to rely on MAP as their primary mail-order supplier of professional printing and practice-related essentials. As a participant in the Value-Added Program, MAP will offer contracted ASH providers 20-25 percent discounts on selected items. Although the discounts themselves will remain consistent, MAP will promote new items each month as part of its rotating advertisement campaign.

“Medical Arts Press, with over 55 years of service, is pleased to announce an alliance with American Specialty Health Networks to offer selected products and items at additional savings to ASH Networks providers,” said George Rodriguez, marketing manager for MAP.

In addition to offering its providers discounted office supplies and equipment, ASH Networks is pleased to introduce Boiron as a value-added vendor for naturopathic and homeopathic remedies.

Boiron continues to be an industry leader throughout the world, supplying high-quality homeopathic remedies to health care professionals. With 70 years of experience in the field of homeopathy, Boiron's expertise is recognized every day by thousands of doctors and other health care professionals who prescribe homeopathic remedies. As a value-added vendor, Boiron will offer contracted ASH Networks providers a 50 percent discount when they purchase both the Homeopathic Starter Kit for Professionals, which includes more than two dozen remedies used to assist in treating many different conditions, along with a comprehensive educational CD on homeopathy.

“Boiron, the world leader in homeopathy is pleased to create this exclusive offer for ASH Networks contracted providers and looks forward to further educating providers about homeopathic medicines. In doing so, Boiron has created a comprehensive CD as a reference for providers when they purchase the homeopathic starter kit,” said Guillaume Lois, Director of Western Division for Boiron.

The discounts offered by MAP and Boiron are only available to contracted ASH Networks providers by accessing www.ashlink.com.
